Overall assembly height, width, and length are measured between
the outermost extremities in the stated direction.

Because sellers may define “offset,” “height,” or “length” differently, compare your measurement method with the individual product drawing. Do not compare a centerline measurement with a seller’s outside-face measurement.

Measure a removed wheel at several points if its wear is uneven. Specialist retailer guidance warns that an old wheel may measure approximately 1–2 mm smaller than its original nominal diameter, so adjacent nominal sizes may need to be considered (Shower Part’s roller-matching guidance). Do not automatically buy the next larger wheel: the entire assembly must still match.

Wheel diameter is only one field. Prime-Line M 6151, for example, is listed as a 3/4-inch rounded wheel with a #8-32 threaded hex hub. Another 3/4-inch wheel with a different hub cannot be assumed to fit (Home Depot’s M 6151 specifications).

Treat search filters and photographs as candidate generators. Compare every stated dimension and design feature with the original. If a listing omits a dimension relevant to the fixing, glass, track, or retention system, ask the manufacturer or seller rather than filling the gap with an assumption.

Match the Wheel Profile, Mounting Design, and Door Position

Wheel diameter alone does not establish compatibility.

Confirm the glass requirement

When an assembly passes through or clamps to the glass, verify the listed glass thickness and fixing arrangement. Prime-Line M 6145, for example, is described as a 3/4-inch top-bracket assembly for 3/16-inch glass. That product-specific restriction prevents selection by wheel size alone.
